My path into this work has come through multiple heartbreaks and then through finding true love and committing to a path of the heart.
The first big loss was in 2013, when my first marriage ended. At 31, I was 150 pounds overweight, stuck in a career that felt like a dead end, and in a painful relationship that had collapsed. That loss cracked something open. Over two years, I shed the weight, rebuilt my life, and found men’s groups, coaches, and therapy that helped me discover who I really was. That journey lit the fire to support other men.
The second heartbreak came five years later, when I ended another long-term relationship. This time, willpower and drive weren’t enough. In the midst of a dark night of the soul, I found my way to an Ayahuasca community, where I began to see how much of my life I had been leading through ego and force. In those first ceremonies, I finally met my grief and connected with the divine. Slowly, I learned another way rooted in heart, body, and soul.
Life has continued to initiate me with love. In 2022, I married my wife, Natalie. In 2023, we welcomed our son, Zamir. In just three years, we’ve lived in Washington, DC, Vermont, Berlin, and now central Pennsylvania, following Natalie’s dream career. Each transition has remade me, deepening my sense that my role is to nourish the souls of men, so they can go home and nourish the souls of their partners, children, families, and communities.
People often tell me my presence calms the wildest fires in their hearts or minds. They say I embody a rawness and authenticity they rarely find elsewhere, and that with me, they can share what they’ve never spoken to a partner or therapist. I offer men the chance to be fully themselves, messy, honest, and still grounded in dignity.
I love grounding our family at the hearth through these tender early years, and adventuring with Natalie and Zamir through both nature and culture. And my heart comes fully alive when I’m facilitating in-person retreats in the wild beauty of West Virginia, where men return to themselves in ways they never imagined possible.
Through retreats, ceremonies, mentorship, and coaching, I guide men into the very places we’ve been conditioned to avoid, and into the wholeness and belonging that waits on the other side.
